Aim of Childcare workers Association Ireland:

To support all Childcare workers in the workplace

To ensure that all childcare workers are provided with a full job description , clearly outlining their role and expectations / duties

Staff are provided with adequate break times

To ensure all childcare workers are provided with an induction period in a new workplace

This is to include a full understanding of the crèches layout, to include fire safety procedures and exits

To be provided with The Policies and Procedures and Codes of Conduct for staff involving interactions with children and parents/guardians

That staff are supported within the workplace to engage in further training

Staff are provided with training and are supported to deal with matters arising in their workplace, including the following

Hostile work environment/ Bullying in the workplace

Problem solving

Working with children with challenging behaviour or additional needs
